What Should I Expect At My First Visit?
As we need to get to know you. You will be asked to fill out a "Client Intake". This will give us an indication as to your current physical condition, medical history and specific areas of pain/injury. Your appointment includes a consultation period wherein your therapist will complete an assessment of your area of concern or discuss what you hope to accomplish with massage therapy. In many people's cases, it is a great way to escape and relax the mind/body from stresses of daily living.
Your therapist will discuss what the course of action will be with your treatment. In the case of massage therapy, partial undressing (to the client's comfort level) takes place. You will be securely covered with sheets with the therapist undraping only the areas being treated, ensuring that modesty and comfort level is respected at all times.
As we believe in giving you the tools to help you manage your own health, your therapist will suggest a treatment protocol to help you help yourself by recommending when you should book your next appointment, stretches, exercises, ergonomics, etc.
